The Alice Varnado Harden Center for Service and Community Engaged Learning at 澳门皇冠体育, (哈登中心), promotes all students toward improving the human condition through civic engagement. Through the 哈登中心 for Service and Community Engaged Learning, the university is able to continue to expand its role in cultivating and sustaining stronger communities. Your service in the community of a few hours a week will make a difference to people and the society. The immersion in another culture deepens your understanding of our society in a way that goes beyond your preconceived orientation. Serving in the community helps students learn what challenges communities face and see how their work furthers the community’s goals. It also helps build valuable relationships with the people whom you serve. You can make a difference by supporting and contributing to meet a need in the community that affects the lives of the elderly, 无家可归的人, 残疾人士, schools, 托儿中心和许多其他社区组织.

This form is for student organizations and approved campus departments, only. The purpose of the service project approval form is to obtain approval for any organization or department issuing community service hours for projects or special events. Note, our office does not provide volunteers for your project or special event; this approval process simply verifies your project has met all requirements to be promoted to students for service credit.

The Department of 公共安全 makes available to the campus community a copy of the 公共安全 Newsletter that is published yearly. 有关于停车规则的宝贵信息, 违例停车罚款, annual crime statistics for the past three years for the campus and information in regards to the department. 这些通讯在新生入学时提供, 登记, and may be picked up from the department located on the corner of 林奇街 and Dalton across from the 文理学院.

You are encouraged to purchase a parking decal and park your vehicle on JSU property. You are also encouraged to remove all valuables from your vehicle and to take the shuttle bus as opposed to walking alone.
通勤/住宅停车
Various areas on campus are designated parking spaces for commuter and residential students. All residential students may park in the lot adjacent to the dormitories, or any lot except for areas designated as reserve lots or reserved parking. Residential students must have a residential decal properly affixed to your vehicle.

Commuter students with night classes may park in lots on the core of the campus after 5:30 p.m., providing the space is not designated as 24 hour reserved. At no time are students allowed to park in handicapped areas unless they have a handicapped tag or plaque displayed.
